Oneday Studio is run by me, Kelly, and I'm also the privacy officer. This policy explains how I handle your personal information, in line with the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.
What I collect
I collect the information you give me: your name, email, phone number (if you share it), business name, and details about you and your website project. This comes from enquiry forms, contracts, invoices, bank transfer records and emails. I also collect the content you send me for your website, like photos, logos, copy and testimonials.
Website visitors' basic usage information is collected through cookies and Google Analytics. You can turn off cookies in your browser settings.
Sometimes content a client sends includes details about other people, such as names in testimonials. I only use it for that client's project. If you think I hold your information this way, contact me and ask.
How I use it
I use your information to reply to enquiries, contact you about bookings (including if you join my waitlist), provide my services, manage contracts, invoices and payments, improve my website, keep business records and follow the law. I only collect what I need. You don't have to give me your information, but I may not be able to help you if you don't.
Who I share it with
I don't sell or rent your information. I use these providers to run my business: Showit (website hosting), Dubsado (contracts, invoices, forms and file uploads), and Google Analytics (website usage). Payments are made by bank transfer, so your bank and mine handle those details. Some providers are based overseas, and I take reasonable steps to make sure your information is protected. I may also share information where the law requires it.
With permission, I may show client projects and testimonials on my website and social media.
Keeping it safe
I take reasonable steps to protect your information from being lost, misused or accessed by someone who shouldn't have it. I keep contracts and invoices for 7 years for tax purposes, and anything else only as long as I need it. After that, I delete it.
Your rights
You can ask to see the information I hold about you, or ask me to correct it. If you're not happy with how I've handled your information, you can also contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner at privacy.org.nz.
